Dr. Janys Murphy Rising
Janys M. Murphy Rising (she/they) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Olympia, Washington with two decades of experience. Her counseling modalities include Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Murphy Rising’s credentials include a Doctorate in Counselor Education (Ph.D.), a Mental Health Counselor License, (LMHC), a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), and a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS). Janys is also a qualified Clinical Supervisor, and they have over a decade of experience teaching graduate-level counselors.
